An omamori charm is an amulet/charm that are commonly sold at Japanese Shinto and Buddhist temples. They are believed to bring luck, protection, and blessings whilst warding off misfortune. The word itself stems from the Japanese word 守る (mamoru) translating to "to protect" in English.
