Where do I begin? First let's talk about how they bring about a stellar business they are. They are quick to address any question I have , and are always considerate of the consumer. Why Honsama over retail?
The next big break through manga series could be right under our noses! Traditional retailers drown out new releases, often leaving great manga to be undiscovered. Also, there are way too many books to choose from at the traditional retailer. We remove the hassle of choice and introduce to you books that you'll enjoy!
Almost forgot to mention, you'll be paying less with us than with most retailers.
What is the shipping schedule?
Our shipment cut-off is the 21st of each month for both Monthly Manga Boxes and Add-Ons.
If you subscribe on or before the 21st, your first box will ship at the start of the following month.
If you subscribe after the 21st, your first box will ship a month later, as you'll have missed the cut-off.
Example:
Subscribe on November 20 → Box ships December
Subscribe on November 25 → Box ships January
What about the next volumes of a series?
Starting 8/1/2024, we'll be launching our Add-On feature! You can add previous titles, follow up volumes, and add a light novel subscription to your monthly box so you can get more manga to read. All add-ons will get 15% off and there are no additional shipping fees! That means you can get 1-5-100 manga and shipping will cost the exact same.
*Add-Ons are only available for active subscribers.
*To get add-ons delievered in the current monthly shipping schedule, they have to be added by the 21st. If they are added between (22 - 31) of any given month, they will be added to the next month's shipping schedule.
Can you give more detail about the book selection?
Each box contains manga that have recently been released, either within the month or from the previous month.
We try to pick various different genres so you'll never be bored!

All add-ons will get 15% off and there are no additional shipping fees! That means you can get 1-5-100 manga and shipping will cost the exact same.
*Add-Ons are only available for active subscribers.
*To get add-ons delievered in the current monthly shipping schedule, they have to be added by the 21st. If they are added between (22 - 31) of any given month, they will be added to the next month's shipping schedule.
Is there an age limit?
We try to cater our book selections to a general audience!
Which means extensively gorey, dark, or ecchi books will not be included.
In general, we recommend Honsama for 13+.
Do you ship internationally?
We would love to! But at the moment, we are only able to ship in U.S.A. We're working on it however, so stay tuned for updates!
What if I get a book that I already have?
We try our best to curate boxes that contain the most recent English releases! We understand however, that these instances can happen and we're working on a solution.
For the time being, share the wonderful world of manga by passing it over to a friend, family member, or anyone else who might be interested. The larger the community grows, the better!
