Why Honsama over retail?
The next breakthrough manga series could be right under our noses! Traditional retailers drown out new releases, often leaving great manga to be undiscovered. Also, there are way too many titles to choose from at the traditional retailer. We remove the hassle of choice and introduce you to manga you'll enjoy!
Almost forgot to mention, you'll be paying less with us than with most retailers.
What if I get a manga I already have?
Every box is built from the newest Volume 1 releases, usually within a month of publication, so an overlap with a shelf you already own is uncommon.
If it does happen, the copy is brand new and unread. It makes a good gift, and passing one on is how a lot of people find their first series.
If you would rather choose the next one yourself, that is what Add-Ons are for.
What is the shipping schedule?
Our shipment cut-off is the 21st of each month for both Monthly Manga Boxes and Add-Ons.
If you subscribe on or before the 21st, your first box will ship at the start of the following month.
If you subscribe after the 21st, your first box will ship a month later, as you'll have missed the cut-off.
Example:
Subscribe on November 20 → Box ships December
Subscribe on November 25 → Box ships January
Do you ship internationally?
We would love to! But at the moment, we are only able to ship in U.S.A. We're working on it however, so stay tuned for updates!
What about the next volumes of a series?
Add them to your box. Our Add-Ons catalogue carries follow up volumes for the series we feature, along with other titles and light novels you can pick up at any time.
Subscribers get 15% off every add-on, and there are no extra shipping fees however many you add. One manga or twenty ships for the same cost.
*Add-Ons are only available to active subscribers.
*To get add-ons delivered in the current month's shipment, add them by the 21st. Anything added between the 22nd and the end of the month moves to the next month's schedule.
What if I miss a cycle but want to read a series that was featured?
You can still start it. Titles we have featured stay in the Add-Ons catalogue, so a series you missed is there to pick up from Volume 1 whenever you want it.
Add-Ons are 15% off for subscribers and carry no extra shipping, so catching up on several volumes costs the same to ship as one.
*Add-Ons are only available to active subscribers.

We try to pick various different genres so you'll never be bored!
